This probably comes down to a matter of tastes, both are excellent actors whose talents are unquestionable.

I'm not overly fond of either, but Di Caprio has actually demonstrated some acting ability. I cite "The Aviator" as an example. Di Caprio became Howard Hughes in this film.
Brad Pitt plays Brad Pitt.

Brad pitt for me cause i find so many similarities in di caprios way of actin, i mean although he is supposed to be a diferent character in each movie it seems to me that he is the same..

Hands down Leonardo Dicaprio is the considerable winner when it comes to acting talent. He's been nominated for an oscar 3 times...he could potentially have had three oscars by now. He'll win one soon i'm sure.

DiCaprio, hands down. I was really impressed by his early performance in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" Of course he will always be known for his role in Titanic, and I'm really looking forward to his reunion with Winslet!
Pitt is no match.

Brad Pitt because i have seen him in so many different roles. he can definitely act outside his box. Leo on the other hand is always cast as conflicted/tormented/troubled/ exceedingly deep young man. other than that time he was retarded in "gilbert grape".
i will have to see leo in different roles before he can take the title from brad. hes up there tho.
