marriage should be the result of love. if it's not, then you're heading into stormy waters, and survival becomes a matter of luck.

Both are important but love after marriage is much more important. Love before marriage is just the guideline, telling you 'yes, this could be the one'. Love after marriage confirms it. Once married, both partners must concentrate on giving love to each other, and not taking the other person for granted. If each does this, they will both feel loved and draw closer and closer together (joy will also continue to increase). The moment either starts taking the other for granted (and it will happen from time to time; no marriage is totally perfect) then distance will develop, each will feel less loved, and if left unchecked this 'lack of love' will develop into depression, pain, sadness, devastation... separation/divorce.

No-one's perfect but if both spouses are willing to try to give love to each other and forgive the little things then marriage can be truly great.

both are equally important. love before marriage is important because that is when the love is passion, it is new, young, beautiful, and fresh. two people love each other so much that they want to get married and spend the rest of their lives together. They marry as a way to prove and express their undying love and passion. love after marriage is important because it is what holds the couple together though hardships, sickness, and tragedy. It grows more deep, intimate, and powerful over time until the two people share a bond that can't ever be broken, even by death. So both are important.

Strong love & full trust on the spouse should be there after marriage that matters most for whole(say of 50-60 years) life together irrespective of whether any love existed with antbody before marriage or not b coz that becomes history & life does not move by history.

It doesn't matter if luv comes before or after marriage. For some its luv marriage while others opt for arrange marriages. But wats important is after the marriage. Thats when reality sets it. Then comes trust, loyalty, understanding and compromising into the picture. Without either one of this, luv wud not stand a chance, chahe woh arrange or luv marriage ho.

I think it's possible to love after marriage-but it's a bad gamble. Unless you have an arranged marriage, I'd say to stick with someone you love, our divorce rate is high enough without adding in random marriages.

Actally existence of Love is important,
irrespect of before or after marriage, its not important.

Love before marraige is somewhat unconditional, Love after marraige is inititally a compromise.

Love before marraiage can be taken for granted, certain obligations are just not followed dutifully by spouses, which is take care of in love after marriages.

Love is important in either time frame, but obviously, the couple had better have a good handle on their relationship before ever considering marriage.

Hopefully, they've taken the time to get to know one another and determine that they both have the emotional maturity to make a relationship work, first.
