The Alabang are is quite safe: Ayala Alabang & Alabang Hills. In Makati: Dasmariñas Village, San Lorenzo Village and Bel Air Village. Tight security.

It should be in San Lorenzo Village or Dasmariñas since it is located near the heart of Manila.

Most foreigners I know are staying in Alabang preferably Ayala Alabang! There are houses there being rented by foreigners!
I have talked mostly to Europeans, Americans and Asians who opted to stay here permanently.

What about Multinational Village? It's near the airport, so I guess i'd recommend that.

As far as security is concerned, better live at Filinvest I in Quezon City. You can sleep soundly there without any worried.
