Hi, I have a cd player/burner and dvd player combo on my lap top. My desktops have the same but have separate drives. I just bought a camcorder panasonic dvd (8 cm) recorder. I've been using the dvd-rw discs to tape stuff. I want to reuse the dvds but i want to transfer the stuff i have on them to reg size dvds so that I can play them on a regular dvd player. According to my specs on either LT or desktops, I can only make cds. what can i do to be able to make dvd's from my camcorder. thanks

You can either upgrade one of your cd/dvd drive to a cd/dvd burner or get a stand alone Digital Video Recorder. The best thing about this is that they are not very expensive -- the cheapest one will cost less than $100.

You're already making dvds on your camcorder. Your DVD-rw disks can be played on a regular dvd player. If you wan't to transfer ur data to another dvd, you will need a DVD writer/burner.

buy roxio DVD burner from a store or download Nero from Nero.com copy the video files from the mini DVD(in video_ts folder) and select Make video DVD in Nero or roxio(or any other software) then import the videos. You are done!

dvd-r is a variety of disc, as is dvd+r, dvd-rw & dvd+rw. Yourpersistent would be waiting to burn the iso you want on your dvd-r disk, yet as quickly as that disc has been written too, you are able to't delete the documents and re write onto that disc. to be waiting to burn tips onto a disc, then delete it and burn different tips onto an analogous disc calls for a DVD±RW disc. the dvd-rw in yourpersistent merely potential it could burn onto + or - discs, no remember if or no longer they are re writable or merely usual.

You'll need to buy a DVD burner, obviously. Any of these will work, although I'd recommend buying retail, since OEM doesn't come with software: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010100005%201036506653&name=DVD%20Burner
