They dropped me when they closed our store, without so much as an "I'm sorry" but when the Supercenter opened a year later, they had my number on hand and called me back! WTH?! I think not!

I've worked for wal-mart for nearly 4 years, I started as a cashier/cart pusher for $6.50 an hour as a job while I was in college...College wasn't working out after a semester and I decided I wanted to pursue a career w/in the company...I now work for their Store Planning Division - I travel the country supervising remodels, my salary is $40,000 a year, I recieve $175 a week for food, $.44 a mile for any milage on my personal vehicle, my lodging is paid for, as are my cell phone and laundry costs, I get weekends off, the company also pays for me to fly home for 6 days a month and I have the potential for a bonus up to $8,000 a year. The company is great for anyone who is willing to work hard and the opportunity for advancement is definately there.

Ok, ok, so I never worked there, but I have known those who have. A group of friends and I all moved out of state, one of them got a job at Wal-Mart. He was the only one in the group that had health insurance. Those that I have known all liked it, the job may or may not be for you, but you won't know until you find out.
P.S. Recently I heard that Wal-Mart is now asking their employees to call in before not showing up to work *gasp*. Some disgruntled employees complained, but I've never had a job where I just could not show up and not have a problem.
