Notebook.
I used to be the guy who had to build an aircraft carrier to hold all my my Atari and Amiga stuff. The IBM stuff didn't improve the situation, either. Start hanging 7 SCSI 40meg Connor CP-340's off your A-500, and networking all the computers together with null modem cables, and you can get really sick of the wiring hassles. Especially if you have to relocated the mess. Which I did many times.
Besides, I like to work on the patio or in bed or at the bar. Wireless and portability is just way cool for me now.

We have a huge tower. I have never used a notebook (sad i know) but would like to get one one of these days so I could do my computer stuff somewhere a bit more comfortable than at this computer desk.

Tower, I prefer my notebook, but I'm at work so I'm using theirs and getting paid handsomely to do so!

I have a Mac. Has no tower, only has keyboard, super mouse, and monitor. The disk drive is right on the side of the monitor. And has a little magnetic remote control that attaches on the side so I can play my iTunes or DVDs. A total space saver and I love it!

Tower. It's got a faster processor, a much more reliable power supply, and I can sit my coffee on it.
On the downside, I can't put it in a satchel and take it anywhere. It's more of a 'put it in a wheelbarrow' job.
And it's awfully cluttered if I try to set it up to send an email to a friend while I'm sitting in a coffee shop.

Tower....... I can have my scanner, printer second hard drive, all my gadgets already set up for quick access......
I think notebooks are more designed for students, or business people who need them for work or studies.

I use the tower. I have a nice comfortable area at my desk so I don't have a need for anything else.

I have both but tend to use my towers since they are already "out" and not put away in a case.

I'm using a tower because I am at the office for the moment. I definitely prefer the notebook for the portability factor, duh.
