It is the best of America! I would take the Chevy over a ford or dodge any day. The vette is the best built and best performance american car!

However if I had $45k to spend I would buy a Evolution for $28k. Then I would take the extra $17k and mod it up to 600-700 AWHP and spank a vette.

I love to cruise around town in muscle cars, I love the deep sound and the ability to do a burn in any gear. I do agree with "poetic" that a camero is a better value for the money, but they certainly dont look as good as the vette! How about the body on the stingray.......now that was was ahead of its time, still badass today!

On the track I want something with advanced traction control and AWD. Take off the line faster and stick the curves better.
I dont care about arguments between muscle and ricer, all I care about is what does what it was designed too.

American muscle cars are mean, ugly, and a ***** to keep a leash on

Ricers are tecnical and easy to modify for high horse power. Advanced tecno to keep the car on the leash when need be

Mentioning the Chrysler 300C and Mustang GT in the same sentence with the phrase "super muscle machines" causes this question to be a joke.

Chrysler = Dodge = Viper, not the 300C
Ford = Ford GT, not Mustang

And for the money, the Vette is very hard to beat. Camaros, Firebirds, and Mustangs can compete, due to their cheaper base pricing and vast availability of mods.

The Camaro will never come remotely close, not even the projected new ones. Every car out of the Australian Holden has the motor center line sitting ahead of the struts. Speaking of struts that automatically means no caster and camber adjustment. That will be be a dead cow to turn in the corners. A quick glance at a Corvette block has all cylinders behind the upper ball joints. With the all aluminum motor it's total front to rear weight is balanced better.

yeah i still think that it is still king for the money, since it compete with cars like the 911. But using cheap plastic in the interior and even the exterior. Its a good thing it only cost 45K

They are not called the poor mans porches because it sounds catchy. They do perform Very well for a production car and the composite body is very difficult to beat. Light weight and very strong. I agree with this statement.

Absolutely not. If you're gonna buy a Chevy Muscle car...you might as well take a step down and buy a Camaro for way less. You can get just as much power out of it, and way better looks.

I would agree with your statement but would not include the other 2 cars you mention. They are both compromise designs.
