DVDFab works awesome. Takes me about 20 minutes to compress and about 7 to burn. Its an all in one program It will do the full disc, main movie or you can put two movies on a disc using custom/split option also allows you to rip to ipod, psp and other portable media player formats. It is shareware but is worth the money $59 for platinum which is what i use. works on all new encryption as well and is constantly updated. I have never came across a DVD that it wont rip or copy it is compatable with 98/ME/2000/XP and Vista here is a link http://www.dvdfab.com/index.htm

Get the full version of Clone DVD and set the disk size a little under the actual size of the disk you'll be burning too.

For instance, a 4.7gb dvd is roughly 4812mb. Set the disk size to 4600mb. Sometimes during the compression, the math gets a little off, so this will compensate.

When burning, make sure you burn at a slow speed. The slower the better.

Alcohol 120% is the best vertual cd software to make CD's & DVD's image file. You can also burn those image files to a CD or DVD by this software also.

But unfortunalety you cann't find the full version of Alcohol 120% on net you can download a trial version from

www.download.com/Alcohol-120-/3000-2646-10158124.html

Hope it will help you.

unfortunately you cannot copy certain cd/dvd without authorization or a license. And if you could you can only rip and burn at the speed of your computers hard drive speed regardless of that listed on the disc you are about to record on. Finally a trial version of any software is just a tease to get you to purchase the entire package to do what it says it can perform. Nothing is free and copyright laws protects its owner.

go to dvdidle.com bottom of page click free stuff download dvdfab decrypter which will take off the copy protection. then go to afterdawn.com and download dvdshrink which will burn it onto blank disc. both are free programs and work very well i use them myself on my new laptop running vista. although if you want to pay for dvd burning software nero is excellent and i have it on my other computer running xp.

I don't have vista, but I use ICopyDVDs2 with DVD43 decrypter which works godd for most older (pre 2006) movies. for the newer or older with the newer crypto scheme I use RipIt4Me.
