Maybe this past weekend. Our doorbell rang twice, once in the morning and once in the evening but there was no one there either time. No chance of a doorbell ditch either. My mother-in-law died the next morning. The doorbell hasn't "malfunctioned" since. I think she was dropping by to let use know since she was in a coma at that time.

I had a visitor in the night, dressed completely in black and also a top hat and long coat. Yes, like Abraham Lincoln.
I was asleep and dreaming. But I knew I was dreaming. Then it wasn't dreaming and I felt this presence in the room. When I looked and saw this tall black figure I thought 'Well I will just reach out and touch it. That way I will know if it is real or not. I started to stretch out my arm and in a split second I thought 'what if I die or do touch someone' and immediately sat straight up in bed with my arm outstrected. I have since heard of others having the same thing happen and describe it like A. Lincoln. I was not afraid. I felt as if he was there to tell me something and maybe I scared him away. Was so real and so strange. Anyone else ever experience this?

I'll relate a couple. The first is kind of unique, even for research parapsychologists. I was working in an historic house reputed to be 'haunted' with a sensitive. We were resting and talking about the history of the location. Without warning, the sensitive was lifted off the floor by about 18". This is not a joke. I carefully examined the area under and around her. There was no obvious way to introduce a levitation device into the room since we were the only two in the house. After a few minutes she returned to the floor, set down quite gently.

The other is more personal, having to do with my Dad. It happened shortly after it was decided to not attempt heroics on him in his home. I was sitting with my back to his body on a chair about 12 feet away. Suddenly I felt a strong breeze move through my body from back to front and out upward.
I had the strong impression that he was trying to tell me that everything was okay and attempting to communicate one last time. Intriguingly, I told this story to the minister who did the burial. He said it was not the first time he had heard the story.

I did some strange things when I was little. My parents also heard me talking by myself from another room when I was 2-3 years old. They came in and asked me who I was speaking to. I claimed that I was speaking to a very pretty woman, and she was an angel. Of course, it freaked them out. However, things only got more strange.

My family moved back to be close to my grandparents, and money was tight. I was four years old when the strangest thing ever happened. I said grace, before dinner, and finished by spurting out "Thank you God for the new car."

My parents were dumbfounded. We didn't have a car or the money to purchase one. It was the strangest thing to hear out of a child's mouth. Kids say the darndest things.

The next day, my dad's boss suddenly thought my dad should have a new car as a bonus. I think my father was speechless. I don't recall any of this, of course, nor any reason for saying it, but it's definitely unusual.

My best friend passed away in 1993. About 2 years later, I had a dream/vision that she told me that the baby I was carrying was sick and she was going to "take him home" and that they would be waiting for us. I saw myself giving her my baby and he was very sick--
The next day, I went to the doctor and they found my baby had just disappeared. I was 3 months pregnant, so there should have been some sort of "remains" but there was nothing. I didn't even need to have a D & C afterwards, which is the norm.
It still gives me comfort to this day to know my son and my best friend are together and waiting for me.

Had a few. When I was young I had a friend with the same name as I. One day on the way to work the subway train stopped and I knew someone had jumped. That night I found out it was Barbara who had jumped. I had some weird things happen after her death.

I knew someone was around and I knew it was her. It was very bothersome. A friend had family coming from out of town and asked me to put up her cousin. He was a very mystical young man. One morning he asked me who the "lovely Slavic girl with the large nose and flaxen hair" was. He described Barbara to the smallest detail. He told me she was very unhappy.

I just asked him to get her to find her way to God but told him nothing about her. The next day he told me all the things she had told him as to why she killed herself. EVERY detail fit with her life and the things I knew of her. He was bang on.

He spoke to her and she never bothered me again. However, the ladies who moved into the house after I left said that they were always setting an extra table spot by mistake and their make up tended to move around. Sometimes they felt a sadness in the house.

Well after the death of my first wife in 1981, I planned to marry again in 1985 and during the wedding ceremony at the church I heard the voice of my wife saying "don't think that she will be better than me, we are all the same bitches".... I was so scared that I cancelled the ceremony and fled to my home. I am still unmarried. But my first wife never talked to me again....I wonder what she is thinking and I would like to know...
