It was in western Kansas somewhere this past weekend. It was a 3 point something. I remember feeling one when I was a kid living in Kansas City in the 50's. Now in California but it amazes me that the midwest is just as prone as California according to the books.

You're quite right, the Mississippi River runs on a HUGE fault line that just doesn't go off. I felt one in Cali myself back in 1998. Was cool, but it was tiny. The big ones must be freaky.
