-Guy Lafleur every time. (Even though Max may have speed)
-Mike Bossy. Never once scored less than 50 (except for 39 in his injury riddled last season). A goal machine.
-Bobby Clarke. (The reason behind the Flyers 70's successes and 90's failures.)
-Ray Bourque (Can log more ice time than Niedermayer, much more physical)
-Marian Hossa (unfortunately b/c Cam was always hurt. He'd be a liability to the team.)
-Teemu Selanne. (Ducky was more of a playmaker)
-Patrick Roy. (Are you serious? Why not put in Brodeur or Dryden?)
-Wayne Gretzky. (More assists than any of us will ever have combined!)
-Mario Lemieux did average more goals than even the Great one himself.
-Chris Pronger (Big Bird had Lapointe and Savard to help him) (Pronger only had Scott, MacInnis and J. Smith. Nevermind)
-Steve Shutt (led the league in '77 even though Kariya will probably surpass him)
-Probert was a punk. Laracques all the way!
-Bloody O'Reilly any day.
-Perreault is more of a playmaker than Heatley, even though Heatley's got him in the scoring.

Only modern players I'd have are Forsberg (when he was younger), Paul Kariya, Teemu Selanne. The other players from today's age don't match up to yesterday's players.
Pronger vs Robinson is tough choice. Gave Larry the knod because all those cup wins mean something. Neely vs Hossa? Neely had a toughness Hossa plainly lacks.
Maybe I'm just old.

Some of them depend on whether you mean in their prime or now. For instance, I would take Clarke in his prime over Forsberg now. Probert vs. Laroque would be classic. Cheechoo should not be in the same sentence as Bossy. Same with Afinagenov/Lafleur. I always found Hawerchuk to get a lot of points but I never considered him that good. Others are inconclusive like Gretz-Crosby. Ask me that one in a couple of years when Crosby is old enough to drink. I always found Kariya to be an underachiever.
Just some random thoughts-Cheers

I noticed you don't have Bobby Orr listed. Is this because you couldn't compare him to another defenseman? He was the best ever, in my opinion.
