I have a friend with this as an e mail address but it keeps being returned and I have never heard of "comcast" before so have I got it wrong?

Comcast is one of the largest providers of internet access in the US. There are indeed e-mail addresses with comcast in them. I have one myself. I'm guessing that you may have used "@comcast.com" instead of '@comcast.net" in your address. Unlike Yahoo!, the comcast email system is considered a network.

yes, comcast is a very hug service provider. I have a few friends with comcast and you have to enter comcast.net.

"Comcast" is a domain name. It's the name of our local cable t.v. and Internet provider. Another part could be wrong, though. If all else fails, have her send you one first.

My sister in law in LA has an email address ending comcast.net - are you perhaps typing ".com" instead?

yes, comcast.net my aunt used to have an e-mail add with tht domain... but she quit... maybe u mistyped her username?
