A Mothers Stress!!!

I feel like I’m losing my mind
So much to do so little time

A mountain of laundry and papers and bills
I feel like Im walking up an impossible hill

When did things get so out of control
Lately life has been taking its toll

Im losing my touch with what used to be a breeze
Even the mountains were once mastered with ease

Everything suffers
There’s just too much to do!
When I get something done
10 more messes accrue

Take a breath
And let it out.
We make mountains
Out of molehills
That are even harder to conquer
Than Everest in winter.

Love the children
Do what you can
Remember this moment
And ride the waves.

There will be time later
To sweep the messes under the rug.
Take a deep breath
And live in the now.

(I know what you mean! Have you ever checked out Flylady's housekeeping website? She has some good, practical tips for getting organized, and even more important, she has great tips for mental adjustments! But then again, we must suffer for our art! (-:)

That about says it all - the good thing is that you can look at it with humor. I raised an ADD/OCD kid by myself. He is now 20 and Im still raising him alone. Humor is my only weapon. Sometimes when things are falling around me, and it looks like the world is going to cave in and bury me - the best thing to do is just laugh and do the best you can. Laundry can wait - dusting and vaccuuming gets done when it gets done, and the best answer when the bill collectors call is "Hey if everybody paid their bills on time, YOU wouldnt have a job." It generally leaves them speechless. Keep smiling - the important parts are the love and laughter - not the laundry. Pax - C.

Yes I do HEHEHE.Luckily I have learned my own way to live with that stress and take short breaks while I go to job or go for shopping.I meditate often even sitting in a train.I meditate before I sleep and I look at the horizon when I walk. All that gives a lift to my life.
Remember:The good old days are just now, they are just passing by quietly.

I love your poem! I'm a mom of three and a full-time student. I'm definately burning the candle at both ends and in the middle! But I wouldn't trade it for anything, no matter how tempting!
