You neocons seem awfully confident for people who thought the Democrats would lose last November.

Most people expect the President to fold faster than Superman on laundry day.

60% of the country favors the House bill. Hardly "political suicide".

He's going to roll around on the Senate and House's floor and stamp his feet and cry, "I want MY war...you can't take it from me, I'm gonna go tell my Daddy....wah-wah." Or, um, maybe he will let another piece of intelligence slide under his nose, so we can get another terrorist attack to keep us naughty Americans in line!

I hope the Democrats give BushCo full funding for his WAR FOR OIL!

By getting in his way they will end up being the scapegoat for BushCo's complete failure, and the Republicans will attempt to say we lost the war because of the Democrats.

But then again if they allow full funding we will probably be in WW III once BushCo enters Iran.

Once the Big Bombs start going off none of us will have to worry because it will be world wide survival mode and all because of BushCo's lies and gluttony for Iraq’s OIL!!

Ask the Chinese. He's been borrowing money from them at an unprecedented rate. The real question is how much longer will he have credit before the Chinese pull the pursestrings shut. The other question is guessing how bad the collapse will be in the US once the Chinese block us from another pass at the credit buffet.

Since Bush doesn't care about one troop, he will play games until the end of time. Bush's ego supersedes all, including human life.

Bush is so stubborn, he would let every troop in Iraq die before giving in to save their lives. To him and his neo-con following, the war is an object, not something real filled with human suffering.

I was wondering this very thing earlier in the day. How funny it would be for him to veto something he wants as well.

Because the Dems in Congress run a serious risk of political suicide, eventually, if they are perceived as putting troops at risk.

So, it's his move.

Nice try, but 60% can change, fast.

for those that missed the reasoning behind the veto call maybe you should actaully read that budget proposal. that thing has more pork in it than a sausage plant. the Dems are trying to tack all of the little billion dollar programs that they want to be added to the war fund. that way if bush doesn't give them thier prok, he can't fund his war. truly a liberal way of screwing the american forces and leaving them high and dry.

He'll just borrow it, and then federal government will be forced to pay it back.

I wonder if he'll use his Visa or his American Express. Hmm . . .
