I am Planning a birdwatching holiday in northern Poland and am wondering if it would be worth planning a visit to the remains of Hitlers WW2 bunker while i am there.
Has anyone been there? What is there to see?

I've been there a long time ago, back in high school. It was all blown up and in shambles, but non-the-less an interesting trip.
It's worth a visit if you don't mind trekking through the woods. And it is in the beautiful part of the world, so if you have the opportunity, go for it.
You will see the remains of the bunkers, which have been treated with dynamite, but the ruins are interesting and it is a part of history.
You can also take a short trip from there and go see the polish bison, which' sanctuary is nearby. Also this is the region from which the famous Bison Vodka comes from.
Have fun on your trip.

Wolf's Lair is in Poland close to the Russian border. There is an article about it on this link. It seems Hitler spent a lot of time there.

You mean the "Wolfschanze", "Wolf's Fort" in Gieloz, near Ketrzyn.

Yes, I've been there a few times. There's a number of free-standing bunkers, some pretty impressive. However, most of them were dynamited when the Germans were retreating from there.

Here, have the link: http://www.wolfsschanze.home.pl/ there seems to be an English version, just my internet browser isn't able to reach it.
