If this is true why is he still being picked,please dont answer he is a great player,we all know that,we dont need a goal scorer for Man U,we need someone who can score goals for England,and all the time he is on the pitch he is taking someones place who may be able to score.

ye it makes no sense to me why hes being picked
england have only scored one goal in last five games
thats patethic. england are picking to many superstars that are performing for there clubs and not for their country there is to much unbalance in the team and rooney should be dropped against andorra as a sign to other players that if you dont perform your out! but i dont think mclaren has the balls

Yes, his last goal came in Euro 2004. The England side as a whole hasn't been performing well lately, including Rooney. He's still in the lineup because they are short of strikers at the moment. With Owen injured in the World Cup and Peter Crouch out, the next in line are Defoe and now Johnson.

He has been injured a lot, so a big part of the reason why he hasn't scored is because he isn't on the pitch during matches for England. So he isn't "taking someones place who may be able to score" at all.

when he is on form there is no one better but the problem is he hasnt done it for ages for england and england are hopeing he plays like only he can! but it just isnt happening!!!!! he will score at least one tonight to silence the critics!!!!! WATCH THIS SPACE!!!!!!!

i hope he scores soon, he will become an embarasment. he needs beckham to set up all those great shots for him!
