Downey, CA is a nice place to call home...
It has its bad ends and its good ends, and everything in between pretty much. Like most of socal it has a ton of Mexican food..but there's also a wide variety. Downtown is only like 20mins away which is nice, and Downey itself is expanding its commercialization with the recent introduction of the new shopping center off of Stewart & Grey and Lakewood, I believe. Definitely one of the better places to live in LA county.

Mostly hispanic and blacks...low income neighborhoods, gangs and a high industrial center.
Nothing there to see really.
