Yes, all but rap. I mean, the background music gots a great beat and all, but it's hard to read when there's this person pretty much talking. But...classic, instrumental, rock, country, show tunes, it's all good! :-D

Yes. Sometimes music that is initially challenging to listen to can be some of the most rewarding, given time to develop an appreciation.
