According to some trustful texts I have read, ninjas were not warriors skilled in swordplay, but assassins skilled in silent infiltration and killing important enemies. They recruited themselves from a bottom class of Japanese society. Ninjas actively existed during so called Sengoku Jidai, Age of War, that lasted mainly during 16.century. There was no reason for them to exist before (at least in their clear form) nor after. No war = no reason to hire ninjas.
Of course the practice of ninjutsu itself may have survived till today, but ninjas will never be what they were.

so as to add onto what was once stated already, the ninja of feudal japan have been truly, they have been squaddies who have been constructed into guerrela combating arts. The guns that have been used have been already round them, that is why they aren't real known as guns however gear. Th sword was once the guts and soul of the ninja warrior, despite the fact that modern-day cutlery stores say that they've ninja swords on the market is partially precise. what i imply is that sure ninja swords have been directly and samurai swords have been curved, there's a false impression on why this was once. The ninja could use the curved blades and honestly used them greater than directly blades. the rationale, curved blades reduce extra effeciantly than directly blades. The directly blades have been the outcome of whilst teh ninja have been not able to find any curved blades, the blacksmiths of teh nija have been most effective equipped to create directly blades for them, for the reason that they have been commonly farmers who used directly blades, the curved bladses have been made through the shoguns smiths, and every other warlord smith, those have been the men who had the money and talents of constructing the curved blades. Also with the black fits, or shinobi fits, they weren't completely black, in case you could love to realise why, consider of any person dressed in a directly black go well with, included from head to toe, then leaping right into a shadow, what do u see, a kind of whole blackness that is darker than the shadow in which they're hidden.a number of the fits have been a variaety of darkish colours, the favourite was once like a gloomy blue and even maroon, which combined higher into the nite. A couple of alternative guns/gear that they have been used and hollywood overpowered thier effectiveness have been the shurikan, or shaken. Shurikan or what many name now throwing stars have been honestly used to confuse the enemy. I imply, the ninja performed on the truth that some of the feudal eastern believed within the supernatural, Tengu to be certain. Tengu have been nasty little demons that would flip invisable at will and reason best damage to you every time they had to, sound familar. The shurikan have been thrown on the enemy from a hidden spot in order that whilst whats up enemy have been hit through the shurikan, it could spin off into the grass or grime or in which ever and the enemy could consider that he was once simply attaked through a tengu demon. for the reason that he didnt see the attacker. The shaken are normally what we name throwing knives or darts, used the equal method that shurikan have been used besides that those have been honestly used for killing the enemy as a substitute of scaring them. I have alot of talents with the fuedal eastern ninja and the modern day day kind, so if ya have any questions, hit me up, i can be right here every now and then.

Yes Ninjas are real.

The move "Bloodsport" with Jean Claude Van Damme was loosely based in the life of Frank Dux.

Mr. Dux was taught as a ninja. I would recommend for you to read his autobiography "The Secret Man" He worked for the CIA on both sides of the Iron Curtain.

There are still people who have a practice of ninjutsu and the ways of the ninja. They just aren't like you see on the movies (you know, assassins for hire, stealthy killers, etc) because the world has changed so much.

So, yes, there are ninjas. They just aren't anything like what you've seen on tv.
