I am over one month late and have had multiple negative pregnancy tests. I have really crappy health insurance through the university and the doctor that I saw (who would only perform a urine test), told me to wait it out and test in another week or two weeks. However, if I am actually pregnant I really do want to know as soon as possible.

Should I go back to the crappy doctor with my crappy insurance and demand a blood test or an internal exam? Which would be more absolutely conclusive? I need to know what is going on.

Tina - Thanks for the reply but I can ASSURE you that I am not late because I am wishing to be pregnant. I've never been really regular and so being a week late is not unusual. However, when I eclipsed that week and the next and the one after that, I did begin to get worried at that point. I wasn't stressed prior to being two/three weeks late and now I am stressed that I am pregnant and my body is somehow hiding it from me. The only other "symptoms" that I have been having are some extreme heartburn (which leads to nausea - though I haven't thrown up yet), some changes in my eating habits, and frequent trips to the restroom.

Other than that my breasts feel fine and I haven't been feeling very tired. On the opposite, I have had no premenstrual signals that typically occur - cramps, mood swings, oilier skin for a few days, etc.

You should go back to the doctor and tell them to do a beta to see if you have hcg in your blood and if so how much. If it has been a month they could probably check for a heart beat.

If everything still comes back negative it may be stress or a hormone imbalance.

You can check around with some clinics that offer free pregnancy testing. You may not want to hear this, but you just may not be pregnant right now. Stress from worrying or wishing about being pregnant can delay periods too. (I've been there....) But Relax, I know easier said than done. I'm sure everything is fine. I didn't show positive pregnancy test for a month and a half with my first. Are you having any other symptoms other than missed period? Best wishes..

in case you have taken some HPT and your final AF grew to become into in October, then likely you're actually not pregnant. There may well be a number of aspects that would desire to result on your AF not coming. that's stable which you made an appointment with your well-being care expert just to make certain what if something is up. stable success.

i doubt you are pregnant, your hormones must be messed up, get on birth control pills and it will regulate things.
