You know those little bumps on and around your aeriola? Well I've got one right now that's been pestering me for a few months now. It's not sore or anything, but it gets itchy sometimes. Yes, it IS on the surface, so I'm pretty sure it's not a lump or anything. It's not soft like the other ones.

Help please?!

It's too easy to say "see a doctor," and I try to avoid saying that at all costs, but dammit, that's not something you want to mess with. Not all tumors are below the surface. They can form on the surface of your skin too. Basal Cell carcinoma, for example.

Just for your own peace of mind, make a doctor's appt and let her take a look at it. If the doctor believes it is nothing, you should keep an eye on it all the same, to make sure it goes away or does not increase in size, etc. Family doctors can misdiagnose cancer. It happened in my family. So go to the best doctor you can, and make sure they determine exactly what it is and how to treat it, even if it turns out to be something completely benign (which it probably is, from what I've read in the past.)
It will make you feel better to know for sure.

They're your montgomery glands, they secrete lubricating fluid and sometimes they get plugged up. The reason it's itchy is probably because that area of skin isn't getting the fluid that is normaly produced by that gland, because the duct is clogged. Just put a hot compress on it, and rub it while you're taking a hot shower. that's about all you can do. Giving yourself a breast massage daily before bed is always a good idea too. This is in addition to the perfunctory "ask your doctor" of course...

Don't mess around. Anything unusual in so close to the nipple needs to be checked by your OBGYN. Don't wait! You've already had it for months.
