Abortion is one issue in which I am on the extreme right. But the overall issue of population growth is a much more complex one. You are right that liberals are hypocritical in their attitude toward abortion. They refuse to recognize the foetus as human life. I find it doubly strange that most pro-abortionists are also anti-capital punishment. They are for preserving the lives of the most offensive ones of society, while they are not for preserving the lives of the most innocent and un-offensive ones. It does not make sense.

Why do conservatives love the fetus and hate the child? They insist on an abortion-free America, yet they resent any single mother getting assistance or providing child care help for single mothers; they don't adopt unwanted children themselves; they don't believe in public schools for all these children they want women to have; they don't want to provide any health care for these women and their children.
Rings kind of hollow, doesn't it? This caring so much for "the fetus." If you all care so much about it, why do so many men up and leave as soon as they find out they've made a woman pregnant? Leaving her to raise the kid alone, without even any child support.
And by the way, no one is FOR abortion. What the argument is about is who gets to make the choice: the woman or the government. Would you want the government to be able to make your medical decisions?

Well lets see one can like kids and be for abortion no one should be able force one to abort otr birth women should be only ones deciding over there bodies and a embryo and fetus should not have right even born humans have no born human has right to use anothers body life support why cshould fetus or embryo . And why is fair try make woman second class citzen just because she becomes pregnant and strip her of her rights over her body????

Liberals are for children. They are all for controlling and 'programming' your children.
I know I'll get a thumb down, but then, why, oh why would liberal Democrat Sally Lieber propose a spanking ban here in California? Nothing like the government telling you how you can and can't raise your child. I'm all for nailing child abusers but this won't stop them, and, the best part is that it comes from a single, childless person.
To all you 'fetus can't feel anything' BSers, you can detect a fetal heartbeat in the first trimester and you should see videos of babies struggling to live during the abortion process. It's a life, folks. Get over trying to call it something it's not.

Why do you use the word Liberals? I consider myself to be a Liberal but killing/taking a life is WRONG!
A better question might be, "Why do some people - - - - ? Lumping every one together in a question is poor!
If I ask the question, 'Why do White people always??????, You would be upset, angry and mad! And, rightfully so! You do not need labels or all inclusive to bring about your question/ideals/answers.
The second real loser about abortions is the fact that the female has choices! The most effective is to close her legs, keep her panties on, not lay down and to say NO!
But, after she chose to do the things that nature has put here to bring forth life, no one as the right to destroy it NO ONE!

Because fetuses are not children. A fetus is not an independent life. Until it is carried to term, it is dependent on its host to live. Medically, it is little more than a parasite.

I am not for abortions, and neither am I for you telling someone else what they can and can't do based on your views! I'd rather leave that choice up to them as they have to live with it!
A good friend of mine daughter found out she was pregnant. A month later she found, at age 20, she had breast cancer. She had the choice of surgery and chemo, or waiting until after the child was born! You would have wanted to force her to carry her pregnancy to term, most likely to die!
Well, she did carry her daughter to term, and she died at age 22 with a 2 year old daughter with no mother!

Who says I am for abortion?? I am for less government involvement that includes my the uterus!! Now I won't have a problem with government involvement in the uterus if there is also government involvement in the testis!!

Why do conservatives say they're Pro-Life when they're typically for Capital Punishment? The most important aspect of politics is...if it makes sense, you're not understanding it correctly...meaning, that contemporary politics don't really make sense, except for situations where the flow of money (into pockets) is involved.
