Those who are truly teacher do. However I never was so shocked as when I was in college and a senior student who professed to hate kids decided to become a teacher because she didn't know what else to do and only need a few credit to graduate. Burr. There are some others like her so not all who work as a teacher are interested in the students and not all who work as a teacher are truly teachers. However I have been fortunate to have had several outstanding teachers in my life time and not all of them were teachers by profession but just people that knew how to help and loved others. Hope you find some good ones. I taught English as a second language for several years and I for one cared about my students.

No one can answer for every single teacher thats lives, has lived, or will live. But yes, most of them do care about their students.

I think the care and concern is easier, more natural, and more complete in the primary years (JK - 3) than it is later, but that doesn't mean it isn't there...just that the child's needs have changed, and the structure of education makes it more difficult for teacher and student to connect. Most people have at least one primary teacher that they loved...not so many have that intense a feeling for teachers from 4 - 12.

I teach in high school and I care, deeply, about my students; some, I confess, more than others because some are simply on more of the same wavelength as me. That doesn;t mean I do not care about the others, just that the care manifests itself differently. If a student lets you know about their personal life you have a very different relationship with that student than if the student never says a word to you.

I want all my students to do well, and I hope they all do well...even if they do terribly in my class(es). I do not judge them as people on the basis of how well they do in this or that subject but, of course, I have to evaluate their preformance in a particular subject and I understand that, if the student gets a failing grade they may not always understand that that has nothing to do with whether I care about them or wish them well at all. I have to assign grades based on prefromance, and I sometimes have to assign fails to students I care deeply about, and pass others; that's very hard, but part of the job.

Something students in High School often do not understand is that, the teachers who hound you and bug you for work, or are constantly after you to do better, are the ones who care the most about you. You will never in your life, once you leave secondary school, find people who will put that much effort into helping you succeed.

Most teachers care very much about their students. They couldn't possibly put up with all that they do if they didn't. And no, I never taught. But I was a school custodian for 27 yrs. And I've seen every type of teacher there is.

Yes, but care itself is a mathematical procedure with limited reception. If a subject matter is sad or one dosen't get it, don't expect a hug or something. Take all that you can from their minds during the student and teacher interplay. Making sure you don't cling on is something they are good at or the other students are good at making you believe.

Can't talk universally about teachers - but personally, a lot! You spend 1-2 years with children and I can't help but worry about their futures. I have become a major stakeholder in their lives and want to always make sure they are doing their best.

Truly I believe they do or how could they deal with that many kids. You'd have to be a caring person to be a teacher.

to be exact....teachers does care about their students...If teachers are very strict...students will think that they really don't care about their students....well you think wrong....Just think about it...If teachers are not strict...everyone in the class will be going wild like animals...And when their parents knew...who will they blame...The teacher ofcourse....but if the teachers are strict...students will be well disciplined and responsible...And they will learn a lot of things...And another one....how does students learn how to use a computer?....isn't it because teachers teach us how to use it...ofcourse they do....They teach us how to use computers bec. they know that computers can make our works more easier for us and bec. we could learn a lot using a computer....So to be honest....teachers does care bout the students...I know bec. i'm a teacher.
