This is my story...I'm trying to help implement a program where over 60 people will be inputting information into a worksheet, which will keep year to date figures, and calculate numbers on a qtrly basis as well. I'd like to make this as automated as possible, so as to minimize the clerical time necessary on this project. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've been involved in the 'shared' worksheet on intranet systems before, but unfortunately that's not an option here...these 60+ people will be at different locations and unfortunately they're probably not that excel savy anyways (so I'm working on locking the necessary cells so that they cannot change something that doesn't need to be changed) - thank you for all of your suggestions!

This might help you. In my job the HR dept uses a public worksheet on the intranet, where everybody access it at any time to update some personal information on the same sheet. You just save it and it is gathering all the information without the necessity of a merging process.

Implement a database for multiple users, with a rigorous backup plan. A shared spreadsheet is a nightmare waiting to happen.
