They aren't really, their churches just worship other gods (e.g. the Church of Nature, the Church of Self, the Church of Knowledge)

Well for one they aren't trying to take "churchs" out and they aren't trying to take out churches either. What they want and others want is religon out of the legislation and running of our goverment. The whole point of freedom OF religion was the right to worship whom you choose in your own mannor, not be told how or what to worship. Most liberals aren't goddless at all, it seems to me that the party that wants to try to fix a broken healthcare system, help the poverty stricken, increase education etc would be a part of a very loving God anyway...

They are not and, in fact no one is. However, many are fighting to keep religion out the US government where it does not belong. There is not a single reference to Christianity, Jesus, or God anywhere in the US Constitution, which is the sole document upon which our nation’s government was founded; a government, by the way, which was the first 100% secular government ever created.

Such people are patriots defending the integrity, purpose, and meaning of the US Constitution. When the President of the US is sworn into office, he swears to uphold the Constitution - not the Bible.

Liberals are not trying to take churches out of America. They are trying to limit their influence. For too long, Christians, of whom I am one, have tried to force their religion off onto everyone else, and have wanted to use government as a tool. The little matter of "one nation under God" in the pledge of allegiance is a good example. Fundamentalist Christians feel it is their right and responsibility to force everyone else to accept their particular religious bias.

No one is trying to take the Church out of America. We are just trying to take the church out of legislation.

Just remember freedom to practice religion. Hopefully cool "undercover disrupters" didn't join. It just feels a little dry spider to pray over the intercom at public school, save that for your own thing.

You mean Churches.

We aren't.

The government gives them too much of our tax money and we don't agree with that.

Thats all.

I personally would like to see them all replaced with schools. The only beneficial things you will learn are in science classes as opposed to churches.

Why are Conservatives like you trying to make this country like Iran? They are a Religious State. Why are you trying to force people to become Christians?
