In a nutshell, a troll, in Internet lingo, is somebody who posts stupid or offensive comments or questions just to elicit a strong reaction from the crowd and stirr the pot. People with too much time in their hands or unsupervised kids with a computer :)

A troll is a hateful trouble maker that reports you or answers your questions with a mean, hateful or nasty response. There are many on here.
NOTE: la-la..... above me, is a good example of a troll.
