Bark back! Okay, first of all, some backstory. This will get COMPLICATED, because believe it or not, there are FIVE people named "Jayson" in this story. It's a kind of inside joke at our school, cuz there are so many, but just bear with me. :)

Okay, so Jayson #1 is my best friend. He told us his parents are splitting up last week.

Fast forward to this week, and he's REALLY depressed. To make matters worse, Jayson #2 lives on his street (yes i know its confusing) and is being a D!CK about it. They have always had a rivarly and he's MAKING JOKES about it. Can u believe that? Rivals or not that is NOT cool.

Jayson #3 and Jayson #4 are in my class. They are good friends of mine but they think Jayson #1 is overreacting. Jayson #3 said his parents split up when he was liek 10 and he didn't get that affected. The problem is, sometimes we all hang out together, and I can tell that Jayson #3 isn't being sensitive. How can I stick up for Jayson #1 without pissing off Jayson #3?

(See details)

Jayson #4, on the other hand, is really cool. He totally gets me and understands that this is serious. The problem is, he's better friends with Jayson #3 than he is with me, so he tends to take his side on things.

Lastly, Jayson #5 is a guy that's in gym class with Jayson #1 and Jayson #4. We're playing football in that class right now and we're all on the same team. He's a HUGE jock and has been TOTALLY on Jayson #1's case lately cuz he's depressed and not playing too well. HOWEVER, Jayson #1 hasn't told anyone else about the divorce, so Jayson #5 doesn't know about it. Should I tell him so he'll treat Jayson #1 with more sensitivity, or would that be a betrayal of #1's trust?

Anyway, I know this is complicated, and NO, I am not making it up. There really are 5 jaysons in this story. So please, anyone who can help: HELP!

Forget all the Jaysons.

Invite your friend to hang out, shoot hoops, play mini golf, see a movie, or w/e else the 2 of u like to do. Just do what all good friends do; support him and let him lean on you.
