because it run speed good than nomal vcd and dvd player
if u vcd player supports 48x ur sys supp 52 x

A higher seed means higher data transfer rate, in a DVD or CD player playing a video does not require much bandwidth so the CD don't move faster(16X), while in a PC you need a high speed for coping files on a CD or DVD, if you copy at low speed it might take ages! But it doesn't as your drive is faster(40x - 48x - 52x - 72x for Cd's and 16x-18x for DVDs)

it could be software or hardware problem.Try installing codecs and drivers and reinstall them.DVDs play at 24 frames per second.if your CD/DVD ROM is malfunctioning and is spinning to fast then you may have this problem.you will need to replace your drive..a software problem would be cheaper but replacing a drive is not to bad ether..good luck
