Aren't we One Game Country unlike US or UK or Australia where they are crazy for at least 4-5 games!

Well try this solution offered by Sania Mirza. She's trying to change the sports culture of India that only favors cricket.

Of course Football needs to become a national sport for India by creating a strong domestic league. BBC reports Football is only popular mainly in East Bengal and Goa so the game needs to grow. Investment at the grass roots that can develop good players.
Very crucial India qualifies for the 2010 World Cup , so that way a generation of young people see this and maybe they want to go into Football instead of Cricket. Again have to change the sports culture. Look India had succeess in the 1950's , but Football fell into decline suffered from lack of interest.
Let Bob Houghton do his job hopefully no beuracratic interferance. Just make sure he gets the support he needs.
