It seems many on these posts think that invading another nation and killing their citizens make our marines heroes and patriotic?. According to Webter patriotism is love for or devotion to one's country, not love for the interests of Bush or Oil companies nor invading unarmed nations..

No. It's cowardly. That doesn't make our soldiers heroes. It makes them murderers.

I dont think thats what the posts are saying. I think what theyre saying is that its patriotic of those people to go risk their lives "for their country", even though as you mentioned, theyre really only fighting for Bush, Cheney and Halliburton.

I dont think very many people think its patriotic to kill Iraqi civilians....at least I sincerely hope not...
