Bottom Line is: Because America values having bases in Turkey.
Perhaps the day will come when we'll need a base in Armenia.
Yes, it happened, yes the Turks deny it still but at the time nobody believed it and we were all in the throes of WWI happenings. It was because of the Armenian Genocide that Hilter went ahead with his final soluiton thinking no one would notice or care and he was correct in that assessment.
