probably a bad faucet. If it's an old faucet replace it. If it's a newer faucet worth salvaging, replace the faucet stems or the cartridge. It may also just be sediment in the faucet that needs to be cleaned out. Is it a single handle faucet by chance? what brand name?

Turn off the valves under the sink that control the water to your faucet. Unscrew the line that goes from the valve to your faucets. Turn the valves back on. Be sure to put a pot or bowl under them to catch the water. If water comes out, which I would expect, then there is a problem with your faucet. If not, then it's upstream and that could be a bigger problem. But that's very unlikely. So, let's assume water will come out of the pipe. Next, turn the valves off. Screw the lines back together. Then, remove your faucet handle (or handles, if you have two). I suspect you only have one. Then turn the water back on. If you get water coming out of the piping, then the problem is in your faucet someplace. If not, it is in the piping between your faucet and the on/off valve. It's more then likely in your faucet. In which case, you need to just start taking pieces apart and cleaning them. I'll bet you find the source of the obstruction quickly. If you can't get the faucet back together correctly or it leaks, go to any hardware store (with your faucet in hand) and get new washers or ask the sales help for assistance. I hope this works. I think it should. More then likely it's just a buildup of some kind. Easy to take care of.

Remember, you can always find schematics for generic faucets somewhere on line to help you disassemble your faucet. It's not difficult. Just give yourself plenty of time to do it.

It sounds as if there is an obstruction inside the faucet itself. Depending on the brand of faucet, most require some basic knowledge of faucets, in order to "open" one up, and assemble it again. It isn't a hard project, but each faucet is different, so there is no way to describe how to disassemble your particular faucet. With the brand name, and the model number, you could go on line, and check for a schematic, or exploded view of your faucet. Sorry, I can't help you more!

Something is blocking the water between where the diswaher is tapped off and your faucet...Something in the pipe maybe but doubtful...Problem with your faucet most likely...if you have not ho or cold, your mixer valve is bad. You can replace it or get a new faucet...

sounds like you have a pressure problem as in LEAK in the pipe that pipes water to your kitchen faucet.

First check with your local water department to see if there are any problems with pressure and report your problem. If you have well water, well... you may have to dig a new well. Sadly that is going to be a costly job. Good luck.
