The government controls the medical field through the licensing of doctors and limiting the treatments available for use on patients. The government also has the right to limit research done in the country.

That is done to protect people from incompetitant health care providers and those that use questionable treatments in attempts to cure people. However, I think they screwing up when they prevent scientists the chance to use stem cells in medical research.

Why do they limit it? The source material is aborted fetuses, granted not the most charming of sources. None the less, the fetus was already aborted. Why not put it to use, if the woman the abortion was performed on does not object. It would be the same as the family concenting to using the body of an adult to gain organs for transplant or donating the body to a medical school to train new doctors.

I might sound harsh to those who support the ban, but I want cures; not medicines to make life livable for those with diseases.

The problem with stem cell research is that there are people who actually try to get pregnant and then kill the baby just to use the embryos. In theory, it is a great advancement in science, but it's abused when people think they can have an abortion to help save someone else's life. That baby didn't make the choice to sacrifice his/her life for another human being. I'm all for stem cell research, so long as they stay away from babies/don't intentionally kill a baby for the embryos.

Theres nothing wrong with stem cell research. The stem cells our own bodies produce have had great results. The embyonic stem cell research isn't a good thing cause nothing has really come of it and destroys embryos. The goverment has to step in otherwise these things get funded by taxpayers.

yet another occasion of unfavourable communique. no longer ALL stem cellular learn is incorrect - the stem cellular learn being debated is what's reported as Embryonic Stem Cells, if truth be told harvested from aborted infants. to that end in a feeling transforming into an industry for abortion. the controversy stems from infants that die that don't would desire to die. no longer all stem cells are from aborted infants, and not all stem cellular learn is incorrect. There are stem cells additionally that is harvested from umbilycal cords this is high-quality. The question has to do with infants loss of existence and having this industry from the stem cells from aborted infants. i do no longer think of there has been clean communique approximately this, merely like the communique approximately iraq has been unfavourable. Like President Bush tells us how pressing or significant all of it is yet we on no account understand why. If human beings knew why possibly they'd understand and purchase in. this is relatively all approximately communique and understanding what this is all approximately. for this reason this is the government's place to step in and end it, as a great variety of this learn is government funded. you do no longer want stem cells from aborted infants to do stem cellular learn and there are a lot of different components. this is all approximately funds as quickly as returned.

If we evolved from monkeys, and it's legal to experiment on monkeys, then there is nothing wrong to experiment on ourselves. It's not even on ourselves, it's on unborn cells!!! What could be wrong with that?! If Bush needed it for himself, it'd be legal overnight and even endorsed by some seriously right-wing church, who would suddenly find a way to justify it in their favor, by saying something like"...God gave us a way to experiment..cure" . They (Republicans) need the votes, the religious nuts are pretty much the only fan base they have left. If there were more gays in this country than christians, then repblicans would legalize gay marriages.
