As much as people do abuse it, I think there are definitely some questions worth reporting. I've had to do that once when there was very innappropriate adult material on a question which minors could answer, and for things like that I think it is worth having that button there. However, perhaps we should have to be accountable and have it as one of the tabs on our profiles so people can see what we've reported--or at least why. I think that would stop a fair amount of the abuse.

Jayson gave a great answer...also YA needs to read what was reported and make a sound decision, there are a group on YA who do that just for fun, and have caused good people to lose their accts. and we have a bunch of people who do not want to be on the site no more. Don't leave then they win! I believe YA is really getting on tis and all the trolls will be found out and banned, and YA soon will have a better way of preventing people like this from ruining a really informative and fun site.
Ciao

I think you should be required to back up why your are reporting it and it and those who get violations should be told how many people reported it. If you get on single report I do not think that you should be violated. I think it should take at least 3, that way at least they know you it wasn't just one vindictive person.

I definitely think so. I tried to tell people in my hometown that I had kittens that I was willing to give to anybody who lost a pet to this stupid pet food poisoning recall. My question was removed. What a bunch of dopes!

No, I don't think so.....in the very few cases of extremely abusive questions, I'd like to have a choice to report these people.

Yahoo should actually review the reports before handing out violations.
