Im 15, going to be 16 in 3 months, most jobs around here dont hire until 16... if I go to these jobs and apply would they even consider me because im almost 16? If not, what places usually hire at 15? Ive already done some jobs for my dads old job, however we have moved so I cant work there anymore. Also not getting a job is not an option, I have to pay my cell bill, car payment, gas, and overall shopping money.

I think it would be smart of you to apply now. For instance, I work at Blockbuster and we are supposed to hire at 17. But, we have hired at 16 before. It all depends on the application really and how you present yourself. If you give the application to a manager nad you impress them, don't be surprised if you get an interview.

Most places would not consider you because of the child labor laws and the restrictions involved with it.
About the only option you have would be to check with the neighbors and see if they want some yard work or something done. When you turn 16, then you can see about getting a job.

The ONLY place I know of that hires that young is McDonald's. In my area, they hire at 14, but they have a lot of restrictions. They can't work too many hours a day and those hours can't be later than 8 or 9 o'clock.

It would certainly benefit you to start looking now...it can take a while to land a job. Mostly, fast food places will hire you before you turn 16. If you can hold out for a little while maybe you can check out some of your local grocery stores, drug stores (Walgreens,RIteAid,Osco)& movie theaters...things like that. Fast food work is certainly nothing to be ashamed of!!! Good Luck!!

What state are you in? Labor laws vary by state...I grew up and Virginia and you only had to be14. But if you were either 14 or 15 you had to get a work permit from your school. Check with your guidance counselor or on your state website.
