I have a 1983 Chevy and the left turn signal light stays on in the dash when the headlights are on. The other problem at the same time is the turn signal and clearance light and parking light are all off when the lights are on. Yet the turn signal and flashers will work when the lights are off. I have changed the headlight switch and also notice my voltage gauge fluctuates between 12 and 15 erratically.

i hope you dont have a problem with a girl answering. you need to check your wiring it sounds like you have a short some where. first though i want you to check your fuses and make sure none are blown cause some cars have more than one that run the same thing just different aspects of it. if you arent comfortable with doing a wire check get a mechanic that you trust to listen to you to do it

Make sure all your lights have a good ground and all the light sockets are clean and free from corrosion. Sounds like a ground problem to me.
