I have had over 30 years of shift artwork. This incorporates a week of lates, then a week of nights. Or Afternoons, earlies, then back for nights. yet ad-hoc nights is a bind. I work nights at Wal Mart and let me tell you, out of 10 applicants, only 5 will stay longer than a month. Some people just don't have the "system" to work nights. It's not their cup of tea. Of course here at Wal Mart, working nights is very high speed non stop...But even with less work, if your body can't adjust, you won't make it.

Your body's internal clock. Its night time and you are suppose to be sleeping. Even if u slept during the day just being up at night really effects your body's sleep cycle. If sleeping during the day, make sure to sleep in a dark room where little to no light. And 8 hours is still important. I know its hard, but if u set it as a priority it can be done. Eating proper diet and exercise is important too.

The night shift is only as hard as your self-fullfilling prophecy is, your beliefs.
I worked every kind of shift you can think of over 25 years, indoors, and loved it. I learned to sleep in 4 hr. shifts and this made the whole experience fun. One other key to my success is that when my chosen schedule interfered with social things, I always placed myself and my health first.

I work midnights and I love it - it's the days that kill me - as far as having less work - that's not necessarily true - I've been doing this for 8 years and I get way more work done than days.

We are aware that everyone else is asleep. Perhaps we feel a little resentful having to be at work while our family & friends are in their nice comfy beds.

coz at night time you are having less oxygen .. tree stop giving oxygen at night time but also take oxygen from environment ..

because its an un-usual time to be awake it takes a while to adjust to it.
