It'd probably just be a little stud. Also, how bad does it hurt? And can you go in chlorine or pools afterwards?

The cost depends on the shop. Mine was $30, others in town are $40. The hurt depends on you, usually nose piercings will hurt more if you don't feel much pain with piercings because of so many more nerves that connect to your eyes and you aren't used to it hurting at all. It's not recommended to go swimming or in any chlorinated water. (Two weeks might be okay, try to limit the time your head is under water at that point.) Chlorine on it's own is a great sterilizer but with the different chemicals and things in pools from the swimmers chlorine promotes infection. Ever noticed how a cut will be red and irritated after swimming? That's why and that is what would happen to your nose. Don't go swimming for about a month to get the outside generally healed. As usual, do not remove for 6 to 8 weeks. Follow the given aftercare instructions.

I paid about $50 for mine also got a small stud. Didn't hurt at all but I do have a high pain tolerance. As for the pool, the chlorine will sting and you can pick up an infection. I would suggest waiting a while before you go swimming. Once you go get it done your piercing person will explain everything to you. You can always ask about the pool just in case!

The cost may not be in money, but in health later. There have been numerous reports of headaches, brain tumors and the like from piercing different parts of the head.
The human body can become infected from the metal being used or an infection setting in when the pierce is made.
And last but not least, it doesn't make a good impression in a civilized world. If you are unhappy with the way you look years from now, blame the piercing.

It cost me $60 and the pain isn't that bad, it'll just make your eyes water a little. I'm not sure about the pool thing I got mine pierced in the Winter.
