Donovan Mcnabb has proven 2 b the ultimate warrior...he put on a fine first season with no good wideouts after getting an unwelcomed draft spot.....he fought threw a broken ankle 2 throw 5 touchdowns in the same game against the Cardz... He played six games with an active sports Hernia....He led the Eagles to 5 NFC east championships in 6 yrs...and 4 consecutive NFC Championships with wideouts such as..Todd Pinkston....James Thrash....Freddy Mitchell...etc.. as well as a Superbowl apperence with a loss of 3 points with out evr having a solid recievr 2 throw 2 all season..and never having an established running threat....How is he overatted...i think he is very underatted....Don't forget b4 the injury he had been poised 4 MVPship....after coming bak from the sport hernia...ur thoughts???

I've been following McNabb since his freshman year at Syracuse in 1995. There is no way he is overrated. The reason you hear that now is because some people actually started to believe some of the crap Terrell Owens said about him, about not being a leader, about how the Eagles would have been better with Brett Favre at QB. He just shot his mouth off and people bought into it. Mostly it was about the Super Bowl where Owens said "I'm not the one who got tired". What a jerk.
McNabb is a warrior. He threw 55 passes that game was hit or sacked many times and left his guts out on the field. The guy is a leader and once he stays healthy he will again show how good he is now that he can go a full year without T.O. or Pinkston dropping balls.

McNabb might be a warrior and come back from injury but wouldnt you rather a reliable qb that you dont have to worry about getting hurt every year. plus i think i would rather have a qb that wins superbowl not just nfc championships. He had one of the best wr's for one year and couldnt get the job done because he was too tired at the end of the superbowl and couldnt run an effective 2 min offense because he was exhausted. DId everyone forget about the end of last season when Jeff Garcia took the Eagles on a 5 game win streak to end the season and get the Eagles into the playoffs. Without Garcia the Eagles would have been playing golf a little earlier.

the eagles do have a team w/out McNabb look what they did w/out him last year. They were much better w/out mcnabb and with garcia. Garcia was much better then McNabb. W/ McNabb the eagles were average but when Garcia came in they were great and got past the first round of the playoffs and almost more. u cannot say that the eagles are nothing w/out mcnabb.

I wouldn't say he's overrated but he's not really underrated either. If there was an actual reasoning in him being overrated though, I would say its because of the success Garcia was able to have after replacing him during the season when McNabb went down.

While he is a good QB without doubt, he's definitely, so far in his career, still no Payton Manning nor Tom Brady, yet stupid people like you keep making silly claims (as above) that are simply NOT TRUE. That is the exact reason so many people like me think that he's "over-rated." Its not HIS fault, its idiots like YOU!

He is great man but they didn't exactly fall to pieces without him last season.
