First off don't blame mom's boy friend for your C's. Those are yours not his. You earned them. If you don't want to be in the room with the TV go to your room and do your home work. Lets not play the blame game child. If mom has a bad relationship don't drag yourself in the middle by saying I can't do my homework because of him. You need to stay away from that!! I know this is not what you want to hear but this is the truth so you need to try harder to get those grades up so your mom doesn't have to worry about that too.

since mommy dearest is putting the bf first is there not some where else u can go to do your homework? I feel for you. My ex was the same way towards my girls sometimes when they were growing up and I did the same thing as your mom, but after about 3 months I got very tired of disrupting my kids life and started to tell my bf, either my way or the highway. we were together for 20 yrs. and it was my way. your mom needs to talk to this man and let him know you are the important one right now and that he needs to give you your space so you can do your homework and bring your grades back up.

Study at the library or with a friend. Talk to your mom about the problems and see if she will take a stand. Try to explain to him that you cannot concentrate on your homework with the TV loud and ask if he minds to turn it down. If he gets angry over that, then maybe your mom needs to put her foot down or move him out.

Just say that you can't concentrate when the tv is so loud and that you need them to buy you earplugs. The bf will most likely turn the tv down, but if not they will at least buy you some earplugs.

He needs to get help with his anger problems. I have seen too many times when the older male in the house has anger problems, that quickly escalate into physical abuse.

Move away from him and do your homework somewhere else, if he follows you and keeps being disruptive tell a councillor at your school, your mother should be doing her job better.....

idk id be pissed and i would say something to him but you might not want to make him mad so just talk to your mom and explain that your going to get bad grades unless she takes control and tells him that you need it to be quite when your doing your homework your mom shouldnt left him take control!!!
