Please move to Canada and see why. When you need chemotherapy, get your name on the list, because the wait is around six months. Why is this? When you don't pay for csomething, you tend to abuse it, so every time a person sneezes, they go see the doctor. Plus, Canadians DO pay for health care, through heavy taxes which thier gov uses to susidize the drug industry to keep prices low. You pay for it, you just have someone steal your money and do it for you.

Is this refering to the USA? If it is I live in Wisconsin and get free medical and perscriptions and don't ever have to pay for any of it. You just have to be one of the least of the rich in the richest my friend. See in this wonderfull country it's all about angles and the lack of pride. So if you swollow it and go to the local human recource department or what used to be called the welfare office, you can get your free medical and probably some extras as well.
I think the main problem with giving this to everyone though is that our doctors would not like making wages. Just ask a free contract doc from overseas when he comes to work here in the states. Those other places have state paid doctors who make squat in comparison.
I don't know why everybody in this country is so confused. Ther people with money have always had to pay for things with money. Since the beginning of it's use.

Because medical care is very expensive, and if the government were to pay for it all, there would not be large budgets for things such as the most powerful military, most technologically advanced city structures, social service programs and everything else.

Most companies and govt. agencies pay for the majority of health insurance anyway, so its not a huge problem for most people. I pay something like $100 a month for good full insurance for the entire family.

Thats what makes us rich. Lower taxes that we reinvest into the economy so it will continue to grow. Which is also why most of the new medicines, treatments, and medical technologies that the rest of the world uses with there free medical care was invented here.

One of the reasons is that organizing a health care plan for everyone in the country requires a mass effort and probably a few billion dollars. While we are in a deficit, this is almost an unthinkable plan. Another is that if the government provides health care, it removes health care as a marketable business, something most congressmen will be reluctant to do since insurance companies are in their consitutencies.

that's certainly one of those unfastened term. i've got seen statistics that base this communicate on tax expenditures, the kind of prosperous persons a united states has, the GDP, and the earnings stages of those in poverty. in my view, the reason the U. S. is seen the richest united states on earth is via the fact our prevalent of residing is a lot greater in the time of societal stages than everywhere else.. particularly whilst speaking with reference to the undesirable in this united states. even nonetheless many human beings will possibly not understand this: For the main area, our undesirable nevertheless have TVs, DvD gamers, heating/air, interest structures, roof over their heads, plumbing, fridges, autos, nutrition, etc.. There are not many places on earth which could say that.

there is no "free".
You cannot give to one man, unless you first take it away from another man.

It's nice to feel that we're all entitled to basic health care, but I'm not sure the US gov't is the most efficient way to provide it.

Our nation is currently closing in on $9T dollars in debt. First tell me where the money is going to come from. (ending our involvement in Iraq would be a good start- but those costs aren't on the books)

The special interest (insurance) (hospitals) and drug companies all lobby against it. Clinton already tried and failed.

It will NEVER happen.
