Because every team needs a representative, there are some odd players in the mid summer classic each year. Last year Mark Redman was a random all-star... can you think of some other odd all-stars in the last 10-15 years?

In 1992 Mike Sharperson from the Dodgers made it. His "All-Star" stats that year: .300 avg 3hrs 36rbi 2 stls, and yeah, that WAS his best year in the majors.
He was out of baseball by 1995 and dead by 1996.

Ken Harvey in 2004

If my memory serves me correctly he was a 1st baseman for the Royals
