That's not so very hygienic and health conscious. Body odour is caused by bacteria. The natural oils and moisture that your skin releases protects you and attracts bacteria. Some people are afflicted worse than others.
I don't think there is surgery for it... you seem to know.... but to rid yourself of dreadful body odor, there is no good answer, but to bathe regularly, replacing those natural oils with something scented that is more appealing. There are low allergy soaps available. Salty water is also good btw. An anti-bacterial soap with lavender for example.... a good quality shampoo and conditioner used daily will also help conceal it... and an antiperspirant deoderant with a matching cologne.....
oh,... and maybe this person bathes twice a day but wears the same clothes for a week... so a good quality scented washing powder and regular change of clothes is also a useful ploy to adopt.....
How do you handle this as friend? Go to the laundromat together?.. Nope. talk about it.. people don't learn unless they communicate.... you get to learn how to be diplomatic and achieve what you set out to.. they learn to smell like a rose...
If none of these alternatives work, then I understand there are prescriptive medications available for these symptoms.

If you are a friend, you MUST tell him, you will hurt his feelings a little, but it's worse that everyone talks about him without him knowing, not only you got a nose.
He doesn't have to wash his hair every time he gets a bath, tell him that, for the armpit allergy it coul be because of the aluminum chlorohydrate ,most deodorants have, tell him to try Crystal stick, is made of natural mineral salts and is parfume free and free of chemicals, its sold in vitamin shops and because it's solid, like a rock, lasts up to a year. You can buy online at :
www.allnaturalcures.info/main-bath-&-beauty/FR0012.html
When he gets a bath advice him to use a liquid body soap like Dial Liquid Antibacterial, Buy it for him and put it in his bathroom, throw away everything else.
Im sure this will work well. Good Luck.

Hi it probably wouldnt hurt him to go and talk to his doctor, he needs to drink plenty of water to flush his system out a lot of garlic and spices can come out in the pores of the skin , if you go to the health part in the supermarket you can get aluminuim free deodorants or crystal deodorant also tell him to wear clothing with natural fibres like cotton , polyester and nylon are like plastic and will make you sweat, he is better of having cool to warm showers not baths sometimes you can get out of a bath and be sweating more to the point you need another bath, if he does have a bath have it warm not hot and put some bi carb soda in the water its a neutraliser and a natural deodoriser , good luck

some people have a tendancy to have more odor than others.. Your friend might have the condition where he/she has a high yeast intollerance in his system where when he eats sugar or carbohydrates, it grows in the yeast and therefore more bacteria grows and the smell comes off..
He should discuss this with a doctor..
also I saw a program on the morning news where some rare condition or rare genetic gene problem causes some people to process food differently and they constantly give off a smelly fishy odor.. no matter what they do to clean.. Diet plays a lot in this factor, both this one and your friends.. maybe simply cutting back on sugar or ferminted foods, like vinegars, ketchups, sauces, mayonnaise, mustard or anything that has fermentation in it.. will help.. no yeast breads .. etc... seek out doctors help also.. goodluck

I have the same problem with deodorants - even the unscented kind give me an allergic reaction.
Have him try to find "Crystal Stick" deodorant - it's basically a block of mineral salt that you wet and then apply under your arms. It works reasonably well - it won't solve the problem completely, but should keep him from being quite so ripe.

You say your friend eats healthy. You know that is a lot of crap.
Most of the "Health "foods make you stink, because they are not good for you and your body is trying to get rid of their chemicals through sweat. A lot of vitamins make you stink too if you take too much.

Oh please - he gets "feverish" with wet hair? He gets allergies with deodorant? He doesn't need surgery, he needs to see a shrink. He has more problems than stinking. Sounds like a whimpy, momma's boy that always has something wrong with him. Uses it for attention. I bet he stays out of sunlight too because he's allergic to that too.

Body odor is created from the COMBINATION of bacteria and sweat. Le Cryatal Naturel (thecrystal.com) kills the bacteria, and allows you to sweat naturally.
