First, make sure you didn't hit F11 by mistake -- this makes the browser window full screen, and will hide the address bar.
If this is not the case, look under View -> Toolbars -> Navigation Toolbar (may be slightly different depending on what browser you use; I use Firefox). Make sure that a check box appears here.

thats called the address bar. If ur using Internet explorer . .which is most likely,
Click 'view' on the menu bar and then go to Toolbars. Click on 'address bar'
you should be able to see it now!
frank suggestion . .
shift to mozilla firefox. its muuuuuch better than bloody Internet Explorer ! ! !
