i pitch and i feel that i use my arm a little too much. how can i use the maximum effort from my legs and abs. note: submarine pitcher

what i need to know is what do i do to use my legs more, what technique such as the twisting and such or longer stride, etc..

It requires both to be effective. The legs give you your drive for your velocity and your arm the result of the pitch thrown. Unless you are a knuckleball pitcher then legs and arm go hand in hand. If you can watch film of Koufax, Ryan, Steve Carlton, Jim Palmer, Whitey Ford, Bob Gibson, and Warren Spahn you really get to see it. Of today's pitchers, Schilling, Clemens, Santana, Smoltz, and Randy Johnson shows how they work best. Pitchers who end out with arm problems most times it is caused by bad mechanics between the whole pitching process.

you get powewr from your legs ans you pitch off the mound you need good leg work to be a good pitcher..... *** in hurting/feelin its your arm
