My first character was a warrior that i pretty much screwed up and made into a tailor (hey hey shut it up! lol) and it has thrown many of my other characters off when it comes to deciding thier professions. Anyway, I've decided to keep my warrior and mage on my current server and delete my others and start over, this time i want to be more successful. Any suggestions??

the biggest money maker for tailoring is 18 slot bags. the mats cost about 20g but the bag goes for 40. Also, everyone and their mother is trying to replace their 16 slots bags for 18 slot. Plenty of money to be made there.

Also, if your more than lvl 60, just kill stuff. Grey armor drops sell for 1g+ every time(weapons even more). Thats also a good way to farm for cloth for your bags, giving you a bigger profit margin.

You could just untrain tailoring and pick up something more appropriate; a lot of people don't even know they can untrain. Click C to bring up your character screen, click on the Skills tab, click on the blue bar for tailoring, and then at the bottom you'll see one of those circles with a line through it (like a no smoking sign). Click that sign and it will untrain tailoring for you. That may be easier than trying to juggle professions between your alts, and tailoring is rather easy to max in a short time so it can't hurt you too badly. You can train your mage (or another cloth-wearing character if you choose) in tailoring instead and have them maxed in no time. Blacksmithing would be better for the warrior. Or to make money fast, pick up mining, skinning or another gathering profession. Mining, I think, is the biggest money maker in the game right now as far as professions go.

well your mage should learn enchanting as that is a great money spinner, just keep making greater magic wands and selling them...pretty easy money there...and people love an enchanter (I dont know if the supplies are as easily available and the cost and sale price of equipment and wand are the same as on your server as I used to play on a Blizzlike private server but as far as I know they should be the same)...the income probably isnt as good as with the bags but it is good for getting that starting cash

Gathering professions are very lucrative. Try mining, skinning, and herbalism.
