It is a latex cylandar shape glove that goes on the penis, that contains a spermicide. It prevents sperm from penatrating the vagina or any opening for that matter, from bodily fluid transfer, because it provides a barrier that semen can't travel through. In case the condom breaks during intercourse, the spermicide comes into play. It kills the sperm. A condom protects you from Sexually Transmitted Diseases or STD's, and pregnancy, but is not 100% garunteed, the only 100% way to prevent any STD's or pregnancy is abstinance, which is not having sex at all.

You probably know it as a "rubber", the sheath that fits over the penis to prevent sperm from getting in the vagina during sex, and possibly causing pregnancy. Some wear them to guard against an STD (sexually transmitted disease) Now I have a question for you -- are you really that naive?
