Its not acrime as such but you can be pursued through the civil courts for unpaid bills and it can affect your credit rating a lot of people use pay as you go you get great deals my O2 Pay as you go works out better value than my contract phone so cancelled contract

No it isnt a crime as such but is treated in the same way as other debt such as court case and possibly bailiffs being sent to collect the money, it will also effect your credit rating in the futureif you try to obtain further loans, mortgage etc if you think you wont be able to pay i would recommend sticking with pay as you go

its' not exactly a crime but it will be passed on to debt collectors, who if you do not pay them will either take you to court to get the money, or will get a warrant to take items from your house(if you live with parents it may even be there items that get taken
