When the weather forecasters can't get it right for the next two days?

I don't believe in the media defined version of global warming, but it does seem that our seasons are out of whack. I remember deer hunting in November where you'd be butt-deep in snow, but the last several years were almost tank top weather with no snow. We still get to 40 or 50 below zero in January or February, but it seems that the patterns I remember growing up don't apply anymore.

One thing I notice every night on the news is the record high and record low for this day in history. Nine times out of ten the record high for any particular day was set back in 1910 or at least quite awhile ago.

Like it or not, defend it or argue no one can deny that our use of nasty pollutants and stupid acts of shear vandalism (like cutting down rain forests which are a natural Eco friendly recovery system and necessary part of nature) actually harm the planet and us.
Most will agree that since time began the planet has changed in terms of climate (Ice ages etc) and most will agree that to some extent nature is changing the planet right now as it always has in the natural cycle of things.
But we humans need to realise that we have, in part, accelerated change in a way that nature maybe cannot recover from on its own. It needs our help. A denial is not helping it only counteracts the good others are doing e.g. negative help to recover. Think of it this way: If you knew you were dying and there was a chance to survive would you really want to hear people deny that you needed the help? The planet cannot say to you 'help me' we need to be observant and help it.

I think the majority believe in global warming is happening at this moment BUT how it is produced is the question. Is man making it or is this a trend that changes every decade or more. Personally I don't believe man can cause this giant change in the enormous earth- we are but mice.
But I also believe it is SMART to conserve which just makes common sense whether it be oil, trees, keeping the heat down, etc. etc.

Harry B has identified the culprit. If you need further convincing look at the energy emitted by this beast.

"Little Boy", the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima exploded with a force equivalent to around 15 KILOtons of TNT. we've all seen the photos of the destruction this caused.

"The Sun" is close to a million miles wide, and creates explosions roughly equivalent to 100,000,000,000 (ONE HUNDRED BILLION) MEGAtons... That's over 666 MILLION times more powerful than the Hiroshima blast, that's scary enough on it's own right?

Now take into account that the Sun releases that much energy in ONE SECOND, EVERY SECOND!

To think that we can impact upon such a colossal force is flattering ourselves to say the least.

It is an "inconvenient truth."

The answerer who listed the 10 myths, certainly finds it inconvenient to face up to it. The web site he offers as "proof" that there is no global warming is so full of bad science and logic, it would take a small book to refute them.

The bottom line is this, though; most climatologist agree that global warming is upon us. Further, they agree that this warming phase is coming on faster and stronger than ever before since life began on Earth.

In parting, check this out, an enews article that came out just today:

"AP - More than two-thirds of the world's large cities are in areas vulnerable to global warming and rising sea levels, and millions of people are at risk of being swamped by flooding and intense storms, according to a new study released Wednesday."

And, that, my friend will really be inconvenient.

The theory doesn't operate on weather forecasts; it uses fossils and ice cores and data taken about the climate since data started being taken. It uses all that to determine that the climate today changed dramatically from the climate of the past and to predict that the climate will keep changing at an unnaturally fast pace. It alos seeks to find out why-us.

I dont. The weather is changing by the min and will continue to change until we do something about it. The weather especially for those who live in Florida is feeling the dramatic difference in temps from this year to last year already

Yep.

Just don't let Al Gore hear you say that.

I remember 25 years ago, teachers telling us about the glaciers on Mt. Kilimanjaro receding due to "Global Warming". Then one day, while flying around the world in Google Earth, I found a snippet about Mt. Kilimanjaro. Turns out there is a magma chamber 400 meters below the crater. And it's this magma chamber that is causing the melt and "not" global warming.
