gilda, i don't think u really know that much because my obgyn said if u are small compaired to larger women u most certainly can feel the baby sooner and by the 3rd pregnancy she said probably around 13 weeks, i have read some women have felt it at 8-10 weeks.

I felt my first baby moving around 16 weeks. The OBs told me I was imagining things, but the midwife believed me. I felt movement earlier than that with all but one of my subsequent pregnancies. The one time I thought it was a bit later again (18 weeks, or "normal" time frame), it turned out my dates were off and I was actually due two weeks later. The earliest I felt it that I *knew* it was the baby, was around 13 weeks, maybe 12.5.

Before that point, I could push gently on the area where I knew the baby was located, and feel it roll away from my touch! But that was more like me displacing it, than it kicking, wiggling, moving, if you know what I mean. But I would do that every time I was lying down, and came to know exactly where the baby & placenta were located (confirmed by ultrasound eventually), so *I* know it was my baby there, whether any doctor will back it up or not that I was feeling some movement there.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, and best of luck with everything!

I'm 4' 11" and about 110. I've had five and I was between 4 and 5 months before I ever felt any movement. You are way to early to be feeling any movement.

14 weeks I think? probably was just gas, and a little bit of mothers instinct. Get a copy of what to expect when you're expecting- it's still helpful, even on the third go-around.

Your having gas pains...the earliest a you can feel the child move is 16.5 weeks more often than not it is at 15 weeks. It has nothing to do with your body frame. Google it.

yes it is possible..im 23 weeks along with my son and i know many times he would ram into my side around 8-10 weeks..so it might only be gas but hey, God works in mysterious ways. just think of it as your child is swimming because that is honestly what he/she is doing :)
